Tompkinsville, KY man charged in murder of 78 year old woman KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating death of Monroe Co., KY, woman; family member reports seeing man fleeing from house; authorities hold 32 year old in case; autopsy scheduled for today By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police, Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY - On Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 7:11pmCT, Monroe County Dispatch in Tompkinsville, KY contacted Post 15 and advised that Tompkinsville Police Department units were at a residence on Terry Drive with a deceased elderly woman. The decedent, 78-year-old Clarene Adams, was found by a family member who witnessed someone running from the home as they were arriving. Kentucky State Police detectives responded to the scene and the ensuing investigation led them to the arrest of 32-year-old Brandon Young of Tompkinsville, KY, charging him with Murder. An autopsy has been scheduled for later today to determine cause of death and additional charges are expected.More details and preliminary autopsy results will be released as soon as they are available.
