Obituary: Agnes Mae Thomas, Taylor Co., KY

She was a member of a respected Merrimac area family and was of the Church of God faith

Agnes Mae Thomas, 87, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 7amET, Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Elizabethtown, KY.

Funeral services for Agnes Mae Thomas will be at 4pmET/3pmCt, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Robbie Spencer. Burial will be in Merrimac Cemetery in Taylor Co., KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Sunday, April 4, 2010, at the funeral home.



Agnes Mae Thomas, Taylor Co., KY (1923-2010)

Agnes Mae Thomas of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Charlie Gribbons and Myrtle Malone Gribbons, was born in Merrimac, Taylor Co., KY, Tuesday, February 20, 1923. She died at 7amET, Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., KY at the age of 87 years, 1 month, and 14 days.

She had professed faith in Christ and was of the Church of God faith.

She united in marriage to Billy Joe Thomas who preceded her in death January 14, 2000.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Bobby Thomas and his wife, Pamela and Sheila Bottom, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Several great-grandchildren

  • One sister: Mary Belton of Indianapolis, IN

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, Marlin Gribbons, Randall Thomas, and David Thomas; three brothers and three sisters: George Gribbons, Billy Gribbons, Charlie Gribbons Jr., Lucille Tucker, Dorothy Griffin, and Gracie Spurling.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, is in charge of arrangments.
