Obituary: Mr. James Bradley Thompson, 62, Taylor Co., Ky

He was a member of a respected Green Co., KY family. He was a faithful member of Mt. Union Baptist Church

Mr. James Bradley Thompson, 62, departed this life on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his residence in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Friday, April 2, 2010, at the Mt. Union Baptist Church, 1575 Taylor Chapel RD, Greensburg, KY, with Rev. Mike Ash officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT Thursday, April 1, 2010, and after 7amCT, Friday, April 2, 2010, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W. Court ST, Greensburg, KY.



Pallbearers: T.J. Thompson, Jason Nuckols, Cornelius Anderson, Chad Nuckols, Cameron Barnett, Junior Smith Thompson.

Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Allen Mitchell, Randal Rafferty, Carl L. Alexander, George H. Thompson, George T. Williams, and Homer Williams

Flower Girls: Belinda Thompson, LouAnn Smith, Mary Nuckols, Samantha Embry, Jo Goodman, Shawnica Thompson, Jacqueline Thompson, and Shacarla Rashid

James Bradley Thompson, Green Co., KY (1947-2010)

Mr. James Bradley Thompson, was the son of the late Howard Thompson and Cleo Thornton Thompson of Mt. Sherman. He was born Saturday,August 9, 1947 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his residence in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY. He was 62 years, 7 months and 19 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Mount Union Church. He was a faithful member until his health failed.

He left to cherish his memory the following:
  • One daughter: Jarilla Faith Blake (Pumpkin) of Killeen, TX

  • One son: James Taylor (Poodie) of Campbellsville, KY

  • One grandson: Dumarier, Killeen, TX

  • Two granddaughters: Leticia and Ontil, Killeen, TX

  • One brother: John Thomas Thompson (Margaret) of Allendale, KY

  • Three sisters: Darlene Higgen (William) of Keene, KY; Virginia Griffin (James) of Greensburg, KY; and Evelyn Nuckols of Horse Cave, KY

  • One uncle: Stanley Goodin, Hodgenville,KY

  • A host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends

  • A special friend: Barbara Smith of Louisville, KY
Preceding him in death were one brother, Deroy Thompson; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Joseph Nuckols and Esther Vaughn Thompson preceded him in death
