Kathy Hardy Snow is Ransdell Chapel speaker March 24, 2010 By Adam Goodlett News from Campbellsville University CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University will host Campbellsville native Kathy Hardy Snow at chapel at 10amET/9amCT, Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, KY. Snow is a 1990 graduate of Campbellsville College with a bachelor of music degree in education. She is a 1985 graduate of Campbellsville High School. Snow is the daughter of Al Hardy, dean of academic support at Campbellsville University, and his wife, Peggy, a local piano instructor. She is serving as a teacher in Wilmington, NC, and she directs the sixth-eighth grade chorus with over 120 students involved. She is on staff as youth choir director/pianist at Pine Valley Baptist Church. Snow has performed for various organizations, revivals and women's conferences in Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky and Tennessee. She began her career in Lebanon, Ky., as a teacher of high school chorus and general K-5 music. She served as minister of music at the Highland Baptist Church in New Iberia, La., and she has also served as director of children's' ministries and youth and children's music at the Parkview Baptist Church in Greenville, MS. She taught K-5 general music and served as pianist at First Baptist Church in Blytheville, AR. While in Crossville, TN., Snow taught high school chorus at Cumberland County High School and led the advanced choir to titles in New York City, Florida and the Bahamas. The Cumberland County Choir won two grand championships in show choir on the Bahamas Cruiseline under Snow's direction. She directed over 17 productions while in Crossville. In 2006, Snow won the Dimpled Globe Award for outstanding achievement in Crossville. She is a member of Music Educators National Conference and the National Choral Directors Association. Snow has taught in six different states: Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and North Carolina. She is married to Eddie Snow, who is employed with Wilmington Nissan, and they have three children: Austin and Ali Price and Chase Snow. >All chapels are open to the public free of charge.
