Obituary: Eugene Earl Underwood, 75, Taylor Co., KY

Mr. Underwood had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a former sawmill laborer. He enjoyed fishing and growing flowers.

Mr. Eugene Earl Underwood, age 75, of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Green Co., KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at the Medco Nursing Facility in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Eugene Earl Underwood will be conducted at 1pmCT, Friday, March 12, 2010, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial in the Wilson Cemetery, Summersville, Green Co., KY. Visitation will be from 4pm to 9pmCT, Thursday, March 11, 2010, and after 7amCT on Friday, March 12, 2010, until time of the service, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers are Ike Underwood, Josh Underwood, Earl Underwood, Jerry Underwood, Randall Price, Cody Underwood, and Don Elder.

He was born Friday, July 20, 1934, and died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 18 days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a former sawmill laborer. He enjoyed fishing and growing flowers.

He is survived by the following:
  • His son: Jimmy Underwood of Summersville, KY

  • One brother and sister-in-law: Leon and Pat Underwood of the Creal Community.

  • One sister: Louise Atwood of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Cody Underwood and Stephanie Cox, both of Summersville, KY

  • A special friend: Sue Underwood of Campbellsville, KY
