Obituary: Hindman Munday, 80, Adair Co., KY

Mr. Munday was a well known and respected member of the Adair County Community, with 33 years service at Houchens Markets. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Korea. He will be buried with full military honors by Columbia VFW Post 6097.

Hindman Munday, age 80 years of Fairplay, KY passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Medco Center of Campbellville, KY, after several weeks illness.

The funeral service will be Friday, March 12, 2010 at 2pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry White the officiating clergy. Interment in the Morris Chapel Cemetery with full military honors by Columbia VFW Post 6097. The family request visiting after 4pmCT on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the funeral home.



Hindman Munday, Adair Co., KY (1928-2010)

HIndman Munday was the son of the late Henry Elbert and Nancy Adaline Price Munday of Adair County, KY. He was born Saturday, November 28, 1928 in Gradyville, Adair Co., KY and died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY at the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 10 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Valerie Barnett and husband Marshall of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Lavele Taylor of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Chad Barnett and wife Kim; Clint Barnett, and Cassy Barnett
He was preceded in death by one brother, Vivian Munday, and by one sister, Gracie Curry.

Mr. Munday was a retired stock clerk for Houchens Market with 33 years service. He was a U S Air Force Veteran, who served in Korea.
