Old Old Coddger remembers scenes in old old aerial photo

About: Memorable Old Columbia, KY: Can you date this aerial photo? submitted by Ann Heskamp Curtis

By the Old Coddger

Well, I believe Dairy Queen was there. The building is hidden by trees, but you can see the edge of the driveway.

I can hardly make out the license plate dates on the cars on the square, but I can see Bill Beard sitting on one of the benches.

The house where Fred and Pat Dorman now live on Maple ST, is there and the next house to the north is under construction. If Fred built his house, this could date this picture.

Another missing structure is the house that is now on the west side of the City Cemetery on Wall Street. Steve Hancock lived there for a while. It is between where Earl Cundiff's widow lives today and the cemetery property.
