ACHS cheerleaders will compete in NCA nationals at Louisville Click on headline for story plus photo(s) By Julie McQueary The Adair County High School Cheerleaders will be traveling to Louisville tonight, Friday, February 26, 2010, after the finals of the 20th District Girls Basketball Tournament at Campbellsville High School, to compete in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) High School Open Nationals tomorrow. The event will take place in Exhibit Hall 2C and Rooms 110-112, at the Kentucky International Convention Center, 221 Fourth ST, Louisville, KY 40202. The doors will open at 8:30amET/7:30amCT, and competition will begin at 9:30amET/8:30amCT. There is a $15 per person admission; children 7 and under are admitted free. NCA is the second largest cheerleading competition in the nation. Members of the ACHS cheerleading squad includes Jessica Bardin, Emily Ramage, Jessica Denton, Alex Matney, Molly Keen, Keri Legg, Breanna Meeks, Jayce Stone, Lauren Bridgewater, Rachel Burris, Taylor Hodges, Brooklyn Wilson, Danielle Foster, Lauren Janes, Keri Beth Rowe, Danielle Robertson, Katie Stone, Cynthia Smith, Sarah Howard, Hayley McQueary, and Racheal Stephens. The squad competed in the Cupid Classic in Bowling Green KY, February 13, 2010, and won the large varsity division, Grand Champions, Best chorography; varsity stunt group competition winner, with group including Keri Legg, Jessica Bardin, Taylor Hodges, Alex Matney, and Katie Stone; varsity individual winner- Breanna Meeks; jump off competition winner, Jessica Denton, and the tumble off competition winner, Breanna Meeks. The squad will compete four times on Saturday, February 27, 2010 in different divisions and possibly a fifth time if they make it to finals.
