Obituary: Addie Mae Hendrickson, 97, Adair Co., KY

She was a member of a noted Adair County family. She was a graduate of Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing whose nursing career at Central State Hospital spanned 26 years

Addie Mae Hendrickson, 97, Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, in Cape Coral, FL.

The funeral service will be Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 12 noon CT, at Shiloh Christian Church, 239 Shiloh Cemetery RD, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Norbert Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Reeves Family Cemetery. Visitation will be at Shiloh Christian Church, after 11amCT, Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the church.


Casketbearers will be Mark Hendrickson, Russell Hendrickson, Mark Lambright, Bryan Lambright, Jamie DeBruin, and Dr. Larry Lawrence.

A native of Adair Co., she was a daughter of the late R.B. and Nancy Hall Reeves. She was a member of Lyndon Christian Church in Louisville, KY and of Shiloh Christian Church in Columbia, KY.

She graduated from Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Louisville, KY, and was a nurse at Central State Hospital for 26 years.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her son and daughter in law: Dr. A.J. and Margaret Hendrickson, Cape Coral, FL

  • One sister: Jessie Aaron, Columbia, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Mark Hendrickson, Marcia Lambright, Alice Walter, Russell Hendrickson, Rita Montague, and Joan Lawrence.

  • Ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters: Joseph Preston, Herndon and Buford "Banty" Reeves; and Annie Lee Powell, Mary Morris, Virginia Combest, and Dimple Yates.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home 200 Campbellsville ST, is in charge of arrangements.
