She was a member of the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Catherine Elizabeth Stubbs Allen, 78, Campbellsville, KY, died at 2:45amET, Monday, February 8, 2010 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY.

Funeral services will be at 3pmET/2pmCT, Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Ephraim Berry. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT on Wednesdaym February 10, 2010, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers will be Benji Cox, Jimmy Gabehart, Clint Scott, T.P. Stubbs, William Kelly Ware, John Allen Whitley, John Wilcher, and Matt Wright.

Catherine Elizabeth Stubbs Allen, Taylor Co., KY (1931 - 2010)

Catherine Elizabeth Stubbs Allen of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Curry Stubbs and Virginia Sallee Stubbs, was born Monday, May 4, 1931, in Taylor Co., KY. She died Monday, February 8, 2010 in Campbellsville, KY at the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 4 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She united in marriage to William E. "Buster" Allen May 26, 1949. He preceded her in death October 1, 1993.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Gayle Whitley and husband, Greg and Peggy Allen Ware and husband, Mike of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: William Kelly Ware and wife, Jackie, Ginny Lynn Scott and husband, Clint and John Allen Whitley and special friend, Kayla Burton of Campbellsville, KY; Kara Elizabeth Cox and husband, Benji of Newnan, GA, Kristin Leigh Jordan and husband, Josh of Topeka, KS: and Sarah Megan Wilcher and husband, John of Lexington, KY

  • Eight great-grandchildren: Tyler Scott, Summer Scott, Kane Ware, Taylor Ware, Peyton Back, Benjamin Cox, Sophia Cox, Ava Jordan and an expected great-grandchild in July

  • A brother, Tony Stubbs and wife, Mary of Campbellsville, KY

  • And several other relatives and friends
