Obituary: Gloria Ann Babbitt Yarnall, Adair Co., KY

She was a retired US Postal Worker and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Gloria Ann Babbitt Yarnall, 70, Columbia, KY, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, in Lexington, KY.

The memorial service for Gloria Ann Babbitt Yarnall will be Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 7pmET/6pmCT, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 9600 New Columbia Highway, Campbellsville, KY, with Rev. Don Watson officiating. Visiting with the family will follow the service. Cremation has been chosen.



Glora Ann Babbitt Yarnall, 70, Adair Co., KY (1939-2010)

She was a daughter of the late Robert Marshall and Alice Jane Pyke Babbitt. She was born Wednesday, April 5, 1959 and died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the age of 70 years, nine months, and 25 days.

She was a retired US Postal worker, and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, John (Jack) Yarnall, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: John H. Yarnall, Columbia, KY; and Joe A. Yarnall, Georgia

  • Two daughters: Sara O'Kane, Dalton, GA; and Donna Dawkins, Leesburg, FL

  • One brother: Robert Babbitt, Columbia, SC

  • Four sisters: Marian Vargo, Longwood, FL; Jerri Cipriano, Columbia, SC; Virginia Troxell, Fern Park, FL; and Alice Carver, Altamonte Springs, FL

  • Sixteen grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Phipps, in 2008.
