Obituary: Bessie Kerr McElroy, 89, Adair Co., KY. native

Bessie Kerr McElroy, 89, Cincinnati, OH, formerly of the Sano Community, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at her residence.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 11amCT, at Free Union Cemetery, with burial to follow there.



Bessie Kerr McElroy (1920-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Martha Rexroat Kerr and Jessie Calvin Kerr. She was born in Adair Co., KY, on Thursday, September 9, 1920 and died in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH, Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 18 days.

She was the widow of the late Wayne McElroy and a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • Six children: Ann Anderson, Alice Havlick, Charles McElroy, Danny McElroy, Cheryl Weinstiger, and Carole Helton

  • And a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by four children, Donley McElroy, Martha McElroy, Marsha, and Marvin McElroy; and three sisters, Pearl Doyle, Ann Williams, and Gladys Gerth; and two brothers, Clarence Kerr and Vester Kerr.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
