Question: Will any polls be serving lunch? To ColumbiaMagazine.com: Considering the number of candidates running for office, it is going to take a while to vote. Are any of the voting locations planning on serving lunch? A small guy like myself might get hungry before choosing between that many people. s/Rickie Williams Good question: Over at the Annex, they didn't know of any polling places planning to serve lunch, but it is a great idea, particularly if election day lunch is free. They didn't know of any rule against walking in with a sandwich in your pocket; the election workers do that, and under the Supreme Court's one-man, one-sandwich rule, it would only be fair to let voters carry sandwiches to polling places as well, just clean up your cracker crumbs. -CM This story was posted on 2010-01-26 11:34:34
