Mywife, Sandra Burton Irvin, to whom I have been married for 23 1/2 years,is also a lifelong resident of Columbia. She is a Nurse Practitionerat Adair Family Medical Center. We have two daughters, Amy and Kali, who are freshmen in college and high school respectively. My familyand I attend Beulah Chapel Brethren-In-Christ Church. I have farmed most of my life and know the value of hard work. Beingself-employed in the auto body business for over 20 years has taught me discipline. I have served on the Westlake Regional Hospital Board of Trustees for 2 1/2 years and always try to make informed decisions that will do the most good for the most people and what is fair. I feelthat my experience with the public has helped prepare me to run forthis office. If elected, I will run the office in the most efficient andprofessional manner possible. I plan to keep the present deputies andoffice staff and to do my best to retain them thereby decreasing moniesspent on training and increasing experienced levels of staff. I planto work hard, be fair and honest, and treat everyone the same. I look forward to meeting and getting to know as many people aspossible over the next few months. If I do not see you and you haveany questions or concerns or just want to talk to me, please feel freeto call me at 384-3922 or 250-3450.
