He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired farmer, welder, electrician and plumber. He was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Garnett Henderson, 85, Campbellsville, KY died at 4:20pmET., Thursday, January 21, 2010 in Campbellsville.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Chester Gordon VanDyke and Rev. Ron Ferree. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Sunday, January 24, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3678 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.



Garnett Henderson (1925 - 2010)

Garnett Henderson of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Garnett Wood Henderson, Sr. and Helen Judd Henderson, was born Tuesday, January 13, 1925, in Taylor Co., KY. He died at 4:20pmET., Thursday, January 21, 2010 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 85 years, 8 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a retired farmer, welder, electrician and plumber.

He united in marriage to Corene Gore April 9, 1946. She preceded him in death August 12, 2002.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Marilyn Neumann and husband, Brian of Campbellsville, KY; and Larry Henderson and wife, Cheryl of Delray Beach, FL

  • Three grandchildren: Patrick Neumann of Campbellsville, KY; and Carla Townsend and Darren Henderson of Lexington, KY

  • One great-grandson: Alex Townsend

  • Three cousins: David Henderson, Sr. and Donald Henderson of Campbellsville, KY and Lloyd Henderson, Jr. of Elizabethtown, KY

  • And several other relatives and friends
