Election 2010: Billy Rowe, candidate for Magistrate, Adair Co. District 7 Political Advertising Paid for by Candidate for Adair County Magistrate, Adair Co. 7th Magisterial District, Billy Rowe. (ADV Paid for By Billy Rowe, candidate for re-election to the office of Magistrate, Adair County District 7 (Hurt and North Columbia precincts), subject to the Tuesday, May 18, 2010 primary election Hello, my name is Billy Rowe and I am seeking the Republican nomination for magistrate in District 7, Hurt and North Columbia precincts. I attended Adair County High School, Lindsey Wilson College, and Western Kentucky University, where I obtained a B.S. in agriculture education. I have lived my entire life on the family farm on Keltner Road in Columbia, except for one and one-half years at WKU and one-half year teaching at Franklin-Simpson High School. I am married to the former Hanna Loy, who works at the Bank of Columbia and have two sons and a step son: Freddy, who received a business degree from LWC and his wife Bridget, who is also a graduate of LWC, is a teacher at Colonel William Casey; Christopher, who is a writer, lives in Lexington, KY, along with his wife, Gwenda. My step son, Dustin, presently attends Lindsey Wilson College and works on the farm. Our Farming operation is a third generation dairy striving every day to make our farm a better part of our community. Our work force consists of my son, stepson, myself, one full time employee, and three part time employees. I am a lifetime member of the Adair County Jaycees, past president, and currently I serve as treasurer of the organization. I was recently elected to the Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce boards of directors. I serve on the board of directors of the American Dairy Association of Kentucky, the Kentucky Dairy Development Council, and the Southeast United Dairy industrial Association. In the latter position, I am one of 24 members with a budget of 12 million dollars to oversee. I feel I am qualified for the position of magistrate and can make the necessary decisions to benefit the people of Adair County. Adair County is a great place to live and raise a family. I realize that roads and bridges, as well as many other things are a big part of a magistrate's responsibilities. However, another major concern is the need for more and better paying jobs in this community. If I am elected, I will strive to carry out the duties of magistrate to the best of my ability and for the benefit of the people. I intend to see as many voters in my district as I possible can; however, I'm sure this will be impossible, so please consider this my request for your vote and support if I miss seeing you. It will be my pleasure to serve the voters of District 7. Thank you for your support. -Billy Rowe This story was posted on 2010-01-19 16:55:19
