Obituary: Joyce Ann Daugherty, 67, Taylor Co., KY

She was a former employee of Delco Electronics in Kokomo, IN, and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church

Joyce Ann Daugherty of Campbellsville, KY, 67, died at 9:58pmET, Sunday, January 10, 2010, in Franklin, IN.

Funeral services will be at 1pmET/Noon CT, Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville by Rev. Michael Goodwin. Visitation will be from 5-8pmET/4-7pmCT, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.

Joyce Daugherty, Taylor Co., KY (1942 - 2010)

Joyce Ann Daugherty of Campbellsville, daughter of Gladys Smith Shipp Deener Pennington and the late John Edgar Shipp, was born February 10, 1942, in Taylor Co, KY. She died at 9:58pmET, Sunday, January 10, 2010, in Franklin, IN at the age of 67 years, 11 months.She professed faith in Christ and was an active member of the Salem Baptist Church.

She was a former employee of Delco Electronics in Kokomo, IN.

She united in marriage to Billy "Pete" Daugherty November 24, 1960.

Besides her husband, Billy "Pete" Daugherty of Campbellsville, KY, she is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Pennye Parsons and husband, Steve of Greenwood, IN; and Toni Brock and husband, James Andy of Peru, IN

  • Five grandchildren: Paul Parsons, Whitney Parsons, Bradley Parsons, Lauren Brock and Adam Brock

  • Her mother, Gladys Shipp Pennington of Campbellsville, KY

  • Brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Shipp of Campbellsville, KY

  • Brother-in-law, Louis Shipp of Campbellsville, KY

  • And several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also survived by two grand-dogs: Jebbie and Millie.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Noel Shipp, November 18, 2001 and brother-in-law, Bill Noel.Family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to the Salem Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Homeview Health & Rehab Activities Fund and may be made at the funeral home.
