Obituary: Matthew Joseph Tress, 85, Louisville, KY He was retired from Reynolds Aluminum. He was a veteran of World War II and of the Korean Conflict. He will be accorded full military honors by VFW Post 6097. Matthew Joseph Tress, 85, Louisville, KY, died Friday, January 8, 2010, at his residence. A graveside service is scheduled for 3:30pmCT, Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Bearwallow Cemetery, 6132 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY, at 3:30pmCT with Rev. Gene Conover the officiating clergy. Full military honors will be presented by VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 1pmCT, Thursday, January 14, at Grissom-Martin-Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. Matthew Joseph Tress, 85, Louisville, KY (1924-2010) Matthew Joseph Tress was born August 30, 1924 and died January 8 2010, at the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 9 days. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, and was retired from Reyonlds Aluminum.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Powell Tress, in 1997.
