Obituary: Rita Lee Pendleton, 49, Casey Co., KY

She was the manager of Breeden and Withers Grocery

Rita Lee Pendleton, 49, Liberty, KY, died Monday, January 11, 2010, at her residence.

The funeral service will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Whited Cemetery, with Bro. Phillip Smallwood officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery, KY 1547/White Oak RD, Visitation willl be from 6-9pmET/5-8pmCT, at the Bartle Funeral Home, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers will be Amos Rodgers, Richard Hogue, John Wilkey, Chase Breeden, Terry Sassard, and Johnny Atwood. Dennie Johnson will be an honorary pallbearer.



Rita Lee Pendleton, Casey Co., KY (1960-2010)

Rita Lee Pendleton was born January 28, 1960 in Lebanon, Marion Co., KY and died January 14, 2010 in Liberty, Casey Co, KY, at the age of 49 years, 11 months, and 13 days.

She was the daughter of the late Hubert Lee Johnson and Mildred Absher Johnson.

She was the manager of Breeden and Withers Grocery, Yosemite, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her companion: Manus Withers

  • Two daughters: Jessica Rodgers and Manaki Pendleton, both of Liberty, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Haven and David Wesley Rodgers and Richard Lee Hogue

  • One brother: Dennie Johnson, Liberty, KY

  • Five sisters: Anna Lou Wethington and Judy Wells, Middletown, OH; Janice Smallwood and Patricia Wilkey, both of Liberty, KY; and Rose Gentry, Dayton, OH
She was preceded in death by one son, David Lee Johnson

Bartle Funeral Home, Liberty, KY is in charge of arrangements.
