Former resident sees amazing changes in Columbia in short time Only disappointment is in town square. Hopes all the stores can be occupied again soon To ColumbiaMagazine.com: I came down to visit members of my family who live in Columbia in August and returned again during Christmas week. I was amazed how the landscape has changed in such a short time. The college has done so much expansion and that is needed and well done but with the new roads, stoplights, and all; Columbia is not a place that is just a little country town. Big improvements that are showing the state that the town has big plans for the future. The only thing I was disappointed in was the town square, I hope that all of the stores can be occupied soon. I'm proud I was born and grew up in a great town. s/M. Norris This story was posted on 2010-01-11 05:09:56
