Election 2010: Ann Melton is candidate for Adair Co. Judge Executive Paid for by the Candidate, Ann Melton By Ann Melton, candidate for nomination for Adair Co. Judge Executive in the May 18, 2010 Adair County Republican Primary election I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Adair County for allowing me to serve as Judge Executive for the past three years. Serving the community I love so much has truly been an honor and a blessing. I am a life-long resident of Adair County, and the daughter of Dan and Peggy Waggener. I have been married to Gary Melton for 25 years, the son of Herman and Madge Melton. Gary and I have six children and tengrandchildren. As a candidate for County Judge Executive, I humbly ask for your consideration, and your vote in the upcoming May Primary. My administrative staff and I are always working with the best interest of Adair County in mind. The staff consists of Barry Corbin, Treasurer, Gale Cowan, Finance Officer, Lisa Lee, Administrative Assistant, Patty Nall, Secretary and Office Manager, Jobe Darnell, Road Supervisor, A.L. Sinclair, PRIDE Coordinator and Solid Waste Manager, Mary Allender, 911 Coordinator, Greg Thomas, Emergency Management Director, and Jeff Thomas, GRAS Director. I am very proud of each of these individuals for their hard work and dedication to our county. In addition to these individuals we have some of the most dedicated employees you will find anywhere. Below are a few of the accomplishments that we have achieved in the last three years:
We have worked closely with the Economic Development Board and the Chamber of Commerce to create additional jobs for our citizens. Although we have yet to be successful in bringing large industry to Adair County we have helped to grow several businesses. We hope as the economic climate improves we will be more successful with larger industry. Adair County is a great place to live and I especially appreciate the many friendships I have made and the kindness you have shown to me. I look forward to the campaign and visiting with you in your homes over the next few months. Please never hesitate to contact me or my staff if we can of assistance to you. Thank you,-Ann This story was posted on 2010-01-05 11:27:52
