Catie Bilz Photo Project

Catie Bilz writes:
On January 1, 2010 I will begin a Project 365. I am not sure about whether or not our readers would know about this, so for their sake, I will describe it a little. Project 365 is a photography project in which the photographer commits to taking a one picture a day for the entire year. The content can either have a theme, such as flowers, or merely catalog a day in the life, which is the approach I will be taking. This project will document my travels, including a trip to NYC in January, to Mardi Gras in February, and to Germany in July.

Since I have only been shooting for about a month and a half, I feel that this is a great opportunity for me to get more acquainted with photography and my camera. I think that this project will help me grow as a photographer and help me to become more creative with my subject matter. I will be posting my pictures daily on my flickr page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/catiebilz.

For more information about Project 365, this website has been very helpful to me: http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/
Catie Bilz is a Graduate Assistant for Student Services at LWC and Draper/College Hill Apartment Manager. She's submitted a number of great photographs to the ColumbiaMagazine Group at Flickr, and we look forward to submissions from her 365 project.

If any other Adair Countians are working on a 365 this year, we'd like to let folks know, so use the Contact button to give us a heads' up.
