Election 2010: Rick Wilson for Adair Regional Jailer By Rick Wilson, candidate for nomination for Adair County Regional Jailer, in the May 18, 2009, Adair County Democratic Primary. I am excited to announce my candidacy for Adair County Jailer. I feel it will be a job that I can make a difference. In my campaign I will stress the importance of providing proper security under the guidelines of the law, professionalism, efficient budget administration and respect to everyone concerning jail operations. I would like to re-instate the garden program to save money in the food budget. I will continue the church ministry programs, alcohol and narcotic anonymous programs. We will have comprehensive policies and procedures in an effort to prevent liability. I will also pursue grant opportunities to upgrade technology and camera systems. I have been married to Sandy Corbin Wilson since 1986. We have one daughter, Kacy, who is currently attending Western Kentucky University. I have worked 30 years for the Adair County Ambulance Service. I am currently a Critical Care Paramedic and have served as Assistant Manager since September, 1997. My experience with budgets and supervising will be an asset to my responsibilities as Jailer. I have been very fortunate that the citizens of Adair County have elected me to four terms as Coroner. I first began as a Deputy Coroner in May, 1991 and have continued to serve the families of Adair County as Coroner since January, 1994. The experience of working with grieving families and investigations will also help me communicate effectively with inmates, families and the legal community. I look forward to talking with as many people as possible during the upcoming campaign. I appreciate your consideration in voting for me as your next jailer and allowing me the privilege to continue serving the citizens of Adair County. I can be contacted anytime at 378-1490 or by email at rickgwilson@windstream.net See also:
