Election 2010: Democrat files for Constable, District 6 Total of 52 candidates have now filed for local offices Complete list of Adair Co., KY, candidates By Ed Waggener Justin Ryan Tucker filed for the Democratic nomination for the office of Constable, 6th District, Wednesday, December 30, 2009, in the office of Adair County Court Clerk Sheila Blair. Tucker is the only Democrat to file for the office, but incumbent Constable Jason Rector, a Republican, has filed and faces a primary opponent in Anthony Burke. The next opportunity to file for a local office is Monday, January 4, 2009. County offices, including the County Court Clerk's office, are closed today, December 31, 2009, and tomorrow January 1, 2010, in addition to Saturday and Sunday. With this filing, 52 candidates have now filed for local offices in Adair County as of 4pmCT, Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Filings for local offices are made in the office of Adair County Clerk Sheila Blair, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. The deadline to file for the May 18, 2010 primary election is January 26, 2010, at 4pmCT. Offices not subject to a primary have a filing deadline of August 10, 2010, at 4pm. The general election is November 2, 2010 General Election, the very earliest day of November on which the election could be held (first Tuesday after the first Monday in November).
