Fatal shooting occurs Christmas night in Cane Valley, KY KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating death of man allegedly trying to force way into residence on Christmas night By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY - The Kentucky State Police are investigating the shooting death of 35-year-old Bobby Bunch. The incident occurred at approximately 10:03CT, on Christmas night, Friday, December 25, 2009. Post 15 received a call from the Adair County Dispatch in reference to Bobby Bunch attempting to force his way into the residence of Michael Compton at 2294 Cane Valley Road in Adair County. Upon arrival at the scene, Tpr. James Richard discovered that shots had been fired and that Bobby Bunch had been struck, causing a fatal injury. An autopsy is scheduled today in Louisville, KY. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is continuing. Detective Mike Dubree of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating.
