Obituary: Molly Erin Thompson, 17, Metcalfe Co., KY

She was a member of a prominent, highly respected family and a member of Sulphur Well United Methodist Church. She was a senior at Barren County High School and was an employee of Lighthouse Restaurant in Sulphur Well, KY

Molly Erin Thompson, age 17, of Sulphur Well passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT, Sunday December 20, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Hubbard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until 8pmCT, Saturday, December 20, 2009, and after 9amCT Sunday at the funeral home.



Molly was the daughter of Tommy and Beth Thompson of Sulphur Well, KY.

She was a member of the Sulphur Well Methodist Church; a senior at Barren County High School; an employee of the Lighthouse Restaurant at Sulphur Well.

Besides her parents, Molly is survived by the following:
  • A brother: Lane Thompson

  • A sister Leah Thompson

  • Her grandparents: Forrest and Ella Lee Wilson of Sulphur Well, KY, and Clifton and Linda Thompson of Edmonton, KY

  • An uncle: Greg Wilson and his children, Luke, Emma and Cole
  • An aunt: Jackie Goodson and her children Jordon and Michael

  • Great grandmother: Magdline Wilson of Edmonton, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Verlon and Magdalene Thompson. Leon and Mildred London, Charles and Gladys Blaydes, Earl and Doris Oliver and Earl Wilson.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
