Obituary: Lottie Burchett, 86 Adair Co., KY

She was a member of a respected South Adair County family. She was a former employee of Proctor & Gamble, and was a member of Hadley's Community Church

Lottie Burchett age 86 years a resident of Summit Manor Health & Rehab, Columbia, KY, passed away Monday December 14, 2009 at 1:15pmCT at Summit Manor.

The funeral service will be Thursday, December 17, 2009, at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Elbert Hadley the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. Visitation is after 4pmCT, Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at the funeral home.



Lottie Burchett, Adair Co., KY (1923-2009)

Lottie Burchett was born April 29, 1923, the daughter of the late Chester and, Virgie Furkins Tweedy, and died December 14, 2009, in Columbia, KY, at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 15 days.

She was the widow of Perry R. Burchett who preceded her in death on July 6, 2001.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Elford Tweedy, Marvin Tweedy,Paul Tweedy and Helen Melson.

Survived by the following:
  • One sister: Christine Burris and husband Bolin of Ann Arbor, MI

  • Three sisters-in-law: Juanita Tweedy of Ann Arbor, MI, Edith Burris of Chicago, IL; and Bedalia Burchett of Newman, IL

  • And several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
She was a member of Hadley Community Church and had worked at Proctor & GambleStotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
