Misses what was. But Things Change About: Christmas Memories: None are more special than Columbia, KY, in 60s and 70s To ColumbiaMagazine.com: Dittos to the article from Nancy Salato. I did the same thing, only in the early and mid-sixties. When I visit now, I miss the Square and the way things were then. I occasionally stop in the Walmart, waaaaay out Burkesville RD, but I'm all for progress, and things do change. I'll always remember the Square, and how we'd circle and go up Jamestown Hill to Jim Dandy's and back again and again. Anything could happen between the Square and JD's. I wonder if kids still do that? Probably not.Things change. s/Carolyn Plahuta This story was posted on 2009-12-13 14:58:01
