Obituary: Olen Morgan, 74, Adair Co., KY

Mr. Morgan attended Bethlehem Baptist Church and was in the timber, logging, and sawmill business

Olen Morgan, age 74 years, of 82 Slick Road West, Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 3:55 PM at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY after a long illness.

The funeral service will be Friday, December 11, 2009 at 10:30amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster and Bro. Gary Ervin the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Green Co., KY. The family request visiting after 3:30pmCt on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary FuneralHome.



Olen Morgan, Adair Co., KY (1935-2009)

He was born January 27, 1935, the son of the late Henry Morgan & Della (Bagby) Morgan Rodgers of Green Co. KY, and died December 8, 2009, at the age of 74 years, 10 months, and 11 days.He was preceded in death by his wife Hester Flora Franklin Morgan on October 4, 1986.

He is survived by the following:
  • Four sons: Clearol Morgan and wife Patricia of Hodgenville, KY; Willard Morgan and wife Sandra of Columbia, KY; Joe Morgan and wife Sherri of Columbia, KY, and James Morgan of Columbia, KY

  • Two daughters: Julie Morgan Manning of Columbia, KY; Marlene Harris and husband: Barry Keith of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Ortella Reynolds of Greensburg, KY

  • And 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a host of friends
He was preceded in death by a half brother Leo Adams in 2008.

Mr. Morgan attended the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was in thetimber, logging and sawmill work.
