Obituary: Doris Cave Beard, 87, Adair Co., KY She a member of a highly respected family. Doris Beard was a farmer, homemaker and a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Doris Beard, 87, Columbia, KY, died Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 7:30am at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columiba, KY. The funeral service will be Monday, December 7, 2009, at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY with Bro Steve Willis officiating. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Sunday, December 6, 2009. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 102 Mt. Carmel Cemetery RD, Columbia, KY. Doris Beard, Adair County, KY (1921-2009) Doris Cave Beard was born December 18, 1921. She is the daughter of the late Owen and Lou Allen Christie Cave. She died December 5, 2009, in Columbia, KY, at the age of 87 years, 11 months, and 17 days. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, a homemaker, and a farmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Beard, on June 4, 2007. Survivors include the following:
