Billy Joe Fudge: On Celia's Law, how to tell things, KY 768
About: Celia's Law of Photography worked too well Saturday By Billy Joe Fudge Firstly, for Celia Downey's future encounters with UFOs she should remember that they can be readily identified by the sound rule which is "geese honk and cranes gargle." Secondly, I do agree with Celia's Law of Photography and proved it both yesterday and today with an estimated 400 garglers about 20 feet overhead. Thirdly, anywhere along Highway 768 from the Keltner area to Highway 704 is a great place to view these migrators on their way South. These travelers in the Fall encounter an elevation change of 200 to 300 feet as they approach the ridge. If they are flying at about that elevation to use favorable tailwinds then they find themselves only a few feet above the ground as they pass over Highway 768. They even often need to circle back into the wind to gain elevation in order to find those friendly tailwinds, again. This story was posted on 2009-11-30 06:11:36
