Obituary: Omra Levi Wesley, 85, Casey Co., KY

Mr. Wesley was a US Marine Veteran of World War II and was a former Ford Motor Co. dealer in Liberty, KY

Omra Levi Wesley, 85, Bethelridge, KY, died Friday, November 27, 2009, at Lake Cumberland regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmET, Sunday, November 29, 2009, at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Doug Stutz and Rev. Troy Merrick the officiating clergy. Visitation will be from 6pm to 9pmET, Saturday, November 28, 2009 and after 9amET, Sunday, at the church. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery.



Pallbearers are Ronnie Joe Wesley, C.T. Wesley, Wendell Barber, C.B. Godbey, Kenny wesley, and Coy Wesley. Honorary pallbearers will be other nieces and nephews.

Omra Levi Wesley, Casey Co., KY (1924-2009)

Omra Levi Wesley was born July 23, 1924, in Bethelridge, KY, the son of the late Henderson L. Wesley and Mary B. Watson. He died Friday, November 27, 2009, at Lake Cumberland regional Hospital in Somerset, KY, at the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 4 days.

He was a former co-owner of Griffin-Wesley Ford in Liberty, KY. He was a US Marine veteran of World War II.He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Baldock Wesley.Survivors include the following:
  • One sister: Wagretta Barber of Shelbyville, IN

  • And several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Basil, Corteze, Ocia, and Clarence Wesley, and two sisters, LaFon Chitwood and LaFern Godbey.
