Obituary: Dee Kendrick Johnson, 79, North Metcalfe Co., KY

Mr. Johnson was a member of a highly regarded North Metcalfe County family. he was a farmer and a member of the Savoyard Baptist Church.

Dee Kendrick Johnson age 79 of Knob Lick, Ky, died Friday, November 13, 2009 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Monday, November 16, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2pm-8pmCT,Sunday, November 15, 2009, and after 9amCT, Monday, November 16, 2009, at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Milie and Laura Mae Ferguson Johnson. Dee was a farmer and member of the Savoyard Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife Norma Payne Johnson, and the following:
  • Fives sons: Kenny (Jeanette) Johnson of Knob Lick, KY; Greg Johnson of Center, KY; Darryl (Rebecca) Robbins of Glasgow, KY; Dana (Vicky) Robbins of Knob Lick, KY and Keith (Karen) Robbins of Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Agnes Jeffries of Savoyard, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Three great grandchildren

  • And several nieces and nephews
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Travis Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Lovie Jeffries and Florene Greer.
