Early morning search warrant nets 4 arrests

Officers from the Columbia Police Department executed a search warrant at 900 Burkesville ST, in the limits of Columbia, KY, at the residence of Isidro Almazan and Luis Almazan which resulted in four arrests.

The operation took place at approximately 12:51amCT, this morning, Wednesday, November 4, 2009.



During the search:
  • Isidro Almaza, 19 years old, of Columbia, KY was taken into custody and charged with Robbery 1st degree
  • Luis Almazan, 19 years old of Columbia, KY, was taken into custody and charged with Robbery 1st degree
  • Cindy Rowe, 35 years old of Columbia, KY, was taken into custody and charged with Complicity to commit Robbery in the 1st degree, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Possession of Marijuana
  • George Norris, 52 years old, of Columbia, was taken into custody and charged with Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution 2nd degree
The search warrant and arrest stem from an incident that occurred on Monday November 1, 2009, on Parrott Avenue in the limits of Columbia, KY, in which a Russell County woman was robbed at gunpoint of $300.00 cash and jewelry and then assaulted.

The investigation is being continued by Officer Brad Scholl of the Columbia Police Department. Officer Scholl was assisted by additional members of the CPD, Deputies from the Adair Sheriffs Office and KSP K-9 Trooper Martin Wesley, and K-9 Officer Klaus.
