Travel: Mark Hale finds great fall color on TN/NC border For accompanying photo(s), click on headline ColumbiaMagazine.com This week I made another trip to South Carolina. Due to the rock slide closing I-40 near the Tennessee/North Carolina state line, I was forced to go around via I-26 out of Kingsport, TN. I rarely use this road because there are quicker routes, however it was a nice change to go through these mountains especially during the Fall peak. I took a few pictures with my trusty cell phone, in the area near the TN/NC state line on I 26. The sun was peeping through the clouds lighting the mountain tops like a huge spotlight. Absolutley stunning!!!! I thought maybe you would like to post these on CM. Thanks. s/Mark HaleOctober 29, 2009 This story was posted on 2009-11-01 16:26:39
