Metcalfe County is one of only 14 of the commonwealth's 120 counties still swine flu free, according the the chart. The highest number of cases have been reported in Jefferson Co. (175), Fayette Co. (145), and Perry County (59). Fayette reports the highest number of deaths from swine flu, with 3. So far, there have been no deaths in the seven county area, but within the 10 county Lake Cumberland District Health Department area, which includes Adair County, there have been two swine flu deaths, one in Pulaski County and the latest in McCreary County.
