Three car injury collision on Burkesville ST, Tues., Oct. 27, 2009 Seven cars, three accidents one block stretch of Burkesville ST, keep police officers busy in less than seven hours period Tuesday, October 27, 2009 Click on headline for story plus photo(s) ColumbiaMagazine.com special report The third of three collisions on Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, resulted an injury transport to Westlake Regional Hospital. The incident involved three vehicles, all traveling in the same direction. Brad Cox, 62, of Columbia was northbound at the intersection, operating a 2006 Toyota Camry and had stopped to make a left turn onto West Frazier AV. Amy Thompson, 39, Columbia, KY, northbound in a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, had come to a stop behind the Cox vehicle.A third vehicle, also northbound, a 2993 Geo Tracker operated by Kyle Curry, 17, Columbia, KY, failed to stop, striking the Thompson vehicle in the rear. Police say this caused the Thompson vehicle to hit the Cox vehicle. Curry and Cox refused treatment at the scene. The collision was investigated by Officer Brad Scholl. Collision at 10:28amCTA collision between a Chrysler Sebring and a 2000 Dodge Stratus at the intersection of Tutt and Burkesville Streets occured at 10:28amCT, Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Columbia Police Officer Josh Brockman investigated the collision. There were no injuries reported. Collision at 2:29pmCT A collision at the same intersection occurred at 2:29pmCT, Tuesday.
