Public Library The Adair County Public Library and the Adair County Genealogical Society would like to invite you to the third annual "Silent City" Cemetery Tour to be held October 26, 2009 at 5pmCT. This year's tour will begin at the Adair County Public Library and proceed to the Columbia City Cemetery better known as the "Silent City." There you will meet B.F. & Molly Hunter, Cy Barger, William Wallace Jones, Mary Smythe Biggs, Dr. Samuel Fields and Judge James Garnett Each of these individuals helped to shape Adair County and Columbia with their gifts of time, talent and energy. If you would like a glimpse into the history of Adair County and Columbia and into the lives of some of its citizens, then join us October 26, 2009 at 5pmCT at the Adair County Public Library located at 307 Greensburg Street. If you are unable to walk to the cemetery from the library, then call (270) 384-2472 before October 26th and transportation will be provided. The Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, and the Adair County Genealogical Society would like to invite you to come to the library the third annual "Silent City" Cemetery Tour to be held October 26, 2009 at 5pmCT.
