Obituary: Francis C. Burnham, 89, Taylor Co., KY

Mr. Burnham was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who will be accorded full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. He attended Lighthouse Tabernacle, Knifley, Adair Co., KY

Francis C. Burnham, Campbellsville, KY, died at 2pmET in Campbellsville.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Monday, October 19, 2009 at theParrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Bill Warren & Bro. Gary Ayers with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitatin will be after 6pmET/5pmCT, Sunday, October 18, 2009, at the funeral home.


Pallbearers will be Aaron Burnham, Garett Burnham, Earl Beams, Gary Cox, Larry Harrah, Jr., and Jimmy Overstreets.

Francis C. Burnham (1920 - 2009)

Francis C. Burnham of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Clyde Burnham and Edith Grandstaff, was born in Warwick, Oklahoma, July 12, 1920. He died at amET, Thursday, October 15, 2009, in Campbellsville, KY at the age of 89, 3 months, and 3 days.

He had professed faith in Christ and attended Lighthouse Tabernacle in Knifley, Kentucky.

He was a former maintenance employee of the Public School System.

He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son and two daughters: Susan Brown and husband, Ray of Elk Horn, KY; Gary C. Burnham of N. Huntington, PA; and Donna Sommers of Jeffersonville, IN

  • Four grandchildren: Aaron Burnham, Garett Burnham, Diane Burnham and Kari Burnham

  • Two great-grandchildren: Alex Burnham and Grace Burnham

  • One brother and three sisters: Bonita Switzer and Clara Peters of Watsonville, CA; Lola Hart of Coralitos, CA; and Bob Rackley of Sacramento, CA

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Frank and Loretta Hall.
