Obituary: Nelle Vaughn (1927 - 2009) Taylor Co., KY

She a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church and was an art teacher and a home decorator

Funeral services for Nelle Vaughn were held at 11amET, Thursday, October 15, 2009, at the Campbellsville Baptist Church, 420 N. Central AV, Campbellsville, KY by Dr. Skip Alexander and Dr. James Jones, with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.

Pallbearers were Bruce Carter, Chad Carter, Steve Carter, Jordan Hayes, Josh Hayes, Brandon Vaughn, Bryan Vaughn, and Nicholas Vaughn.



Nelle Vaughn, Taylor Co., KY

Nelle Vaughn of Campbellsville, daughter of the late C. V. Bryan and Beulah Wilkerson Bryan, was born May 25, 1927, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:55amET, Monday, October 12, 2009, in Campbellsville, KY at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 12 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She had been employed as an art teacher and home decorator.

She is survived by the following:
  • Four sons and one daughter: Charles Vaughn and wife, Karen, Greg Vaughn and wife, Patty and Karen Hayes and husband, Bobby of Campbellsville, Denny Vaughn of Memphis, Tennessee and John Vaughn and wife, June of Glasgow, KY

  • Nine grandchildren: Bryan Vaughn, Amy Decker, Brandon Vaughn, Nicholas Vaughn, Morgan Vaughn, John Paul Vaughn, Josh Hayes, Jordan Hayes and Jade Hayes

  • Four great-grandchildren: Will Vaughn, Chloe Decker, Brianna Hayes and Jacob Hayes; two sisters: Virginia Coffey of Louisville and Betty Larimore of Lexington, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Charles Bryan March 16, 1945 and Mary Anne Carter May 8, 2004. Send a condolence to the family of Nelle VaughnParrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, was in charge of funeral arrangements.
