Dr. Gregory Stanton will speak on subject of genocide at CU By Hillary C. Wright News from Campbellsville University Campbellsville University will host a Kentucky Heartland Institute on Public Policy (KHIPP) forum, "Genocide in the World Today - Countries Most at Risk" on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at 5pmET/4pmCT in the Banquet Hall of the Student Union Building, 110 University DR, Campbellsville, KY, with featured speaker Dr. Gregory H. Stanton, research professor in Genocide Studies and Prevention at George Mason University in Arlington,VA. The address is free and open to the public. Dr. Stanton will also speak at chapel Wednesday, October 7, at 10amET9amCT. in the Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins AV., Campbellsville. He will present "Why People of Faith Should Be Concerned About Genocide." Dr.Stanton is founder and president of Genocide Watch, the founder and director of the Cambodian Genocide Project and is the founder and chair of the International Campaign to End Genocide. He was a voting rights worker in Mississippi. KHIPP primarily focuses its attention on facilitating public policy study and issues debate, while encouraging the involvement of Christian leaders in the public and civic arenas.
