83rd Homecoming at Branstetter Park, Summer Shade, KY

Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23, 2009
Don't forget this weekend is the 83rd Annual Homecoming at Branstetter Park, Branstetter Park RD, Summer Shade, KY, just SW of the Crossroads of KY 90 and Tompkinsville Road. Saturday, August 22, 2009, will be a fantastic free Bluegrass festival with Stateline Bluegrass, Caney Fork, And Chigger Hill & Terri performing at regular intervals. Of course their will be many "shade tree" pickers, singers, and groups gathered together under the trees throughout the entire day. Concessions including fish, pinto beans, cornbread and homemade fried pies will be served. Children's games start at 1:00pm. On Sunday, August 23, 2009 will be the all day church service beginning at 10am and continuing into the afternoon with gospel singing by Edmonton's very own very national award winning John Steed. -Gaye Shaw, Executive Director, Edmonton-Metcalfe Co.
