Little Cake album: Hilda Smith sends wonderful old school photos

HIlda Smith sent three wonderful photos from the Little Cake School, with notes, in the album attached. One of the photos, "1959-1960" was taken by her mother, Susie Grant, but she's not sure of the other two.

The photos are attached, with all the information and questions, and we've attached some other file photos of Little Cake School as well. Several other stand alone Little Cake photos have been added to this album.

Hilda Smith writes:

The attached pictures were given to me by my Mom, Susie Grant. I am sure she took the picture "1959-60" but not sure who would have taken the other two.
  • Ruth Thomas (Teacher at Little Cake School): I have heard my Dad, Sidney Grant, talk about Ms. Ruth Thomas many times and how much he enjoyed her as a teacher. I was glad to finally be able to put a face with her name. She would have taught at Little Cake in the mid 1930s for my Dad to have been her student.

  • 1954-55 Little Cake School: Mrs. Beulah Thomas (Teacher) standing in the back. Left to right back row: Tommy Corbin, Fred Watson, Judy Grant Watson, Randall Neat. Middle row: Wendal Neat, Billy Thomas, Betty Grant Smith, Rachel Watson, Anna Ruth Grant Barnett, Ernest Grant.Front Row: David? Kenny? Brenda Giles, Charlotte Grant; Edna Watson; Roger Grant; Garnett Grant

  • 1959-60 Little Cake School: I am not sure of the year, but this would be close. Left to right / back to frontRegina Herron; Marsha Grant; Jana Grant; Edna Watson, Beverly Grant Myers; Edward Grant; Mrs. Beulah Thomas (Teacher); Carol Herron Feese; Kenneth Neat; Roger Herron, Santa, Wanda Grant French, Buck Herron, Ronnie Grant, Bobby Hardwick, Joe Herron, ???(boy in cowboy hat), Hilda Grant Smith.
Does anyone know who the boy in the cowboy hat is??? Does anyone remember who Santa was???
