Obituary: Carlos Lee Bagby, 69, Greensburg, KY

Mr. Bagby was a member of a respected Green Co., KY family. He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was a sawmill worker and was a lifetime member of the Hill and Valley Saddle Club

The funeral services for Mr. Carlos Lee Bagby will be conducted at 10:00amCT, Monday, August 10, 2009 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Temperance Road, Greensburg, Kentucky. Bro. Wilburn Bonta and Bro. Lee Warf will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3:00 to 9:00pmCT, Sunday, August 9, 2009 and after 7:00amCT, Monday, until time of the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Mays, Tony Matney, Duke McKinney, David Allen McKinney, Leo Curry, Jr., and Brandon Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hill and Valley Saddle Club.



Carlos Lee Bagby (1939 - 2009)

Mr. Carlos Lee Bagby of Greensburg, KY son of the late Roy Woodrow Bagby and Lucy Florence Coomer Bagby, was born on December 3, 1939 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, August 8, 2009 in Green County. He was 69 years, eight months and five days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was a sawmill worker having worked for A-Vision Lumber and a life member of the Hill and Valley Saddle Club.

He united in marriage to Louise Marr on December 3, 1960 who survives.

Other survivors include the following:
  • Three daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy Ann and Eddie Leftwich of Summersville, KY; Stephanie Lee and Jared Rose of Pennsylvania, and Amy and Bryan Chapman of Greensburg, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Jill Ashlock, Holly Corbin, Matthew Chapman, Hanna Chapman, Chloe Rose and Mylee Rose

  • Four great-grandchildren: Alicia Curry, Erica Curry, Kally Corbin, and Jacob Skaggs

  • Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Lottie and Ralph Pierce of Greensburg, KY; Betty and Lee Church of North Carolina

  • Abrother and sister-in-law: Dennis and Crystal Bagby of Texas

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
