Fourteen students from Adair Co., KY graduate from SCC

Adair Graduates include Matthew R. Grant, Tracy Winston Bennett, Nicholas R. Bright, Robin L. Denton, Tracy Michelle Hadley, Kandace D. Hatcher, Michael Eric Keene, Brandy Nicole Legg, Christoher D. Matthews, Bryan Todd Stephens, Brian Martin Strange, Reva Jane Taylor, Charlotte A. Upchurch, and Natasha Rae Richard

In May 2009 Somerset Community College held its annual spring graduation ceremony at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset. SCC, which now boasts an enrollment of more than 7,200 students, two campuses and four satellite centers, awarded a record number of associate degrees, diplomas and certificates this year.

Fourteen (14) students from Adair County earned a degree, certificate or diploma from SCC at the completion of the 2008-2009 Spring Semester.

  • Tracy Winston Bennett - Certificates in General Business and Basic Business Administration

  • Brian Martin Strange - AAS Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology and Certificates in Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Level I, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Level II, Industrial Maintenance Machinists Mechanic, Welders Helper, and Industrial Maintenance Electricians Mechanic

  • Reva Jane Taylor - Certificates in Medical Receptionist and Medical Office Trainee

  • Charlotte A. Upchurch - AAS Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
Gradyville:
  • Natasha Rae Richard - Certificate in Physicians Office Laboratory
During Commencement Ceremonies a total of 1186 credentials (Associate Degrees, Diplomas or Certificates) were awarded to 611 students. SCC awarded 397 associate degrees, 129 diplomas and 660 certificates at the conclusion of the 2008-2009 Spring Semester.
