Four state champion trees located in 7-county area

Mr. B.J. Fudge has sent a link to a fabulous state site, a Kentucky Division of Forestry webpage which lists all the record trees in Kentucky. Kentucky Champion Tree Program, which includes three Kentucky record holders in our immediate seven-county area:
  1. American Chestnut in Adair County off Bull Run Road, Columbia, KY.
  2. Yellow Buckeye in Casey County
  3. Black Walnut in Green County
  4. Winged Elm in Taylor County on The Homeplace at Green River
A scan of the list did not show any record trees in Cumberland, Metcalfe, or Russell Counties. Comments welcome.
