Singing, preaching, will honor memory of Junebug Polston

Junior Polston was a gifted musician, who make beautiful music with his voice and improvised instruments. Performed with his wife Barbara Jean Polston, who is hosting event at corner of Melson Ridge and Sandlick Roads in the Melson Ridge Community of South Adair County

The Gospel Spirits with other Gospel Groups will be performing and Brother Steve Bunch will be preaching on June 27, 2009, at 3:00pmCT, at the home of Barbara Polston, 3301 Melson Ridge RD, Columbia, KY. in the Melson Ridge Community in South Adair County.



Performers will include Dewey and Loris Stearns, Dale and Sherri George, and Woody Franklin, among others.

The event is a tribute in remembrance of Junior (June Bug) Polston. He was a well known Gospel singer and musician, along with his wife Barbara Jean Polston, several years ago.

He could play music using anything. I recall as a child watching him make beautiful music using two tin cans and a guitar string. He, along with aunt and my mother used to sing on the radio many years ago.

Directions: From Adair County take Hwy 55 south out of Columbia thru Glens Fork turn right onto Hwy 900 go to end of Hwy 900 turn left go to second house on right. Coming from Russell County take Hwy 379 to Hwy 1058 to Bryant area then turn right onto Melson ridge RD. go about 5 miles white house on left at the corner of Melson Ridge Rd. and Sandlick RD. Please bring your lawn chairs and come on out and join us. Free admission.
