Injury collision occurs in Marion Co., KY

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY

MARION, KY - Collision occurred at 10:50amCT, 6 miles West of Lebanon on Wimsatt Road, when a 1989 Dodge being operated by Shannon Hudgins, age 20, of Lebanon, KY was travelling westbound on Wimsatt Road when she crossed over into the eastbound lane, striking a 1999 Dodge, operated by Christina Dougherty, age 23, of Loretto, head on.


Hudgins was not belted at the time of the collision and was not injured. Dougherty, who was belted, was transported to the Spring View Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Passengers in the Dougherty vehicle, all of Loretto, included Deborah Dougherty, age 44, who was not belted, Camden Dougherty, age 1, of Loretto, who was in child restraint, and William Dougherty, age 4, who was in child restraint, were not injured.

The collision is being investigated by Trooper Brian Coyt who was assisted on the scene by Marion County EMS and the Loretto Fire Department.
