Remembering Leoner Bennett: A wonderful beautiful lady About: Obituary: Leoner Bennett, 89, Columbia, KY By Shannon Bennett On Tuesday, June 2 we lost a wonderful and beautiful lady. Granny Bennett was just that. She loved everyone she came in contact with. She loved sitting in her chair in the front door watching for who might just be coming up on her porch. It didn't matter how long you stayed, she enjoyed every minute you were there. On Monday, I visited her at the Westlake Hospital and she told me "I'm tired, I want to go home." I told her it was OK and I loved her. Tuesday she got exactly what she wanted - she went home. We will greatly miss her, but wouldn't have her back to a suffering world of pain for nothing and I feel that if she could tell us, she wouldn't come back for nothing. Also want to say a really special "Thank You" to Robert and Blake at Grissom Funeral Home. You guys are really special. They made my family feel the best of comfort. We Love and Miss You Dearly - Granny!!!!! This story was posted on 2009-06-08 05:42:24
