Circle R practice run brings reunion with old friends Circle R formal opening announcement just hours or days away; latest target date is Tuesday, June 9, 2009Click on headline for photo with this complete item By Linda Waggener James Mem and Sue Coats gave me a gift at the newly rebuilt Circle R Restaurant in Columbia recently when a lovely blond woman raised her hand to me as I passed by her table and said, "are you Linda Marcum?" I admitted I was that person before I married Ed Waggener and moved off to Adair County. That began a flow of memories which placed me at home in Sulphur Well, surrounded by family and neighbors just like the Coats family. James Mem said of the days when he owned a restaurant there with pool tables which Dad and my sons frequented, "Earl Reid and your boys came often -- I remember them always laughing." We enjoyed our visit remembering those days a while aback. Mem and Sue now live in the Exie community of Green County and their four children have given them 15 grandchildren.
